Il Gabbiano is located at S.S. Aurelia km 144, 58010 Albinia GR, in the municipality of Orbetello, along the Costa d’Argento. Surrounded by the greenery of a pine forest and just a few steps from the sea, it is in a convenient position for discovering Orbetello, Talamone, the Argentario and Maremma.

Is Il Gabbiano suitable for families with children?

Yes, Il Gabbiano is designed especially for families with young children. The village offers green spaces, comfortable accommodation, a swimming pool with baby area, a fine sandy beach with shallow seabed, a playground, entertainment and services dedicated to little ones.

What accommodation can I choose?

You can choose from several options: brick-built villini, lodge, equipped tents and pitches for tents or caravans. Each type suits a different way of enjoying your holiday: more comfortable and family-oriented in the villini, closer to nature in the lodge and tents, more essential and open-air on the pitches.

Are pets allowed at Il Gabbiano?

No, pets are not allowed at Il Gabbiano. Dogs, cats and other animals are not accepted, without exception.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in for the village is from 4:00 pm, with the possibility of arriving at the property and starting to use the services from 2:00 pm.
Check-out is by 10:00 am. Guests may remain in the village until 12:00 pm and use the services, unless otherwise indicated by the front office. The parking space must be vacated by 10:30 am.

Is a deposit required on arrival?

Yes, a €100.00 deposit is required on arrival.

Is there a tourist tax?

Yes, a tourist tax applies to guests aged 14 and over, for a maximum of 7 nights. The amount varies depending on the type of stay.

Is linen included?

Yes, the first supply of bed linen and towels is included in all accommodation. Any additional changes or rentals are available at an extra cost.

Can I request a cot or bed rails?

Yes, cots and bed rails can be rented directly in the village. They are available with a daily or weekly supplement, subject to availability.

Are there accessible accommodation options?

Some cottages have access ramps. We recommend contacting the property before booking to check the most suitable option for your needs, as the internal spaces may not be very large and some features, such as the shower, may have specific characteristics.

Transport and connections

How far is the village from the sea?

The sea is just a few steps from the village. The beach can be reached without crossing any roads, by following a small path/boardwalk that connects the village directly to the beach.

Is the beach convenient for families with young children?

Yes, the beach is ideal for families with young children: it has fine sand and a gently sloping seabed, suitable even for little ones. The connection from the village to the beach is also convenient with a stroller or tricycle.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is free. For the cottages, the parking space is guaranteed and numbered; for other accommodation types, a parking area is available subject to availability. If all spaces are occupied, guests will need to park outside the property.

Can I park my car on the pitch?

No, pitches do not include a parking space. Guests staying on a pitch may use the available parking areas, subject to availability.

Are there charging stations for electric cars?

Are there charging stations for electric cars?
No, at the moment there is no electric car charging service inside the property. The nearest charging stations are in the town of Albinia, a few kilometres away.

Can I rent bicycles or scooters?

Yes, bicycles and scooters can be rented to explore Maremma and the surrounding area freely. Bicycles are also ideal for rides through the pine forest with children.

Can I book excursions nearby?

Yes, from the village you can set off to discover Maremma, the Argentario, historic villages, beaches and natural parks in the area. Family-friendly options are available, combining nature, culture and adventure.

Is the swimming pool suitable for children?

Yes, the swimming pool at Il Gabbiano is designed for the enjoyment of the whole family. It includes a beach-effect area with minimum depth, ideal for little ones, and a second, deeper level for older children. There are also water games and a solarium area with sun loungers.

Is beach service included?

No, beach service is not included with the accommodation and must be booked separately. According to internal information, the service is active from 1 June, with daily rates that vary depending on the period.

Are canoes and pedal boats included?

Yes, canoes and pedal boats are included among the services, but they can be used when the beach service is active.

Does the village have a restaurant?

Yes, Il Gabbiano has a restaurant surrounded by the pine forest and close to the beach, designed to welcome families and children in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. The menu includes traditional dishes, pizza, vegetarian options and dishes designed for little ones.

Are half-board or full-board options available?

Yes, half-board and full-board options are available for a minimum of 3 consecutive days. These formulas include water with meals, while other drinks are excluded. Children benefit from age-based reductions.

Does the restaurant offer gluten-free dishes?

The restaurant can offer gluten-free dishes upon reservation, but the kitchen is not certified gluten free and does not have separate preparation areas. For this reason, we recommend contacting the property before your stay to discuss your needs.

Are there services for young children?

Yes, the village offers several services designed for families with young children, such as camping cots, strollers, high chairs, baby baths, bed rails, bottle warmers and toilet reducers, which can be rented directly in the village.

Are there sports facilities?

Yes, the village has a synthetic grass five-a-side football pitch, table tennis, table football, a games room and a shaded playground. The football pitch is generally open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, there is a Wi-Fi area. Wi-Fi is available at the bar and access is via e-mail with a PIN code.

Is there a market?

Yes, the village has a minimarket with food products, camping items and local products.

Is there a laundry?

Yes, there is a coin-operated laundry with washing machines and dryers. The cost indicated in the internal document is €4.00 per cycle.

Is there a barbecue area?

Yes, there is a barbecue area inside the village. Charcoal can be brought from home or purchased at the market; grills are available, but guests are advised to bring their own to place on top.
